Responsibilities
- Hear and resolve administrative appeals under City Code (parking citations, junked vehicles, solid waste violations, multifamily registrations, vehicle immobilizations).
- Review citations and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to hearings.
- Interpret and apply relevant federal, state, and local laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations to decisions.
- Conduct fair, impartial administrative hearings and issue written findings or dispositions as required.
- Maintain professional conduct and sound judgment in sensitive or challenging proceedings.
- Coordinate with court staff to schedule hearings and maintain documentation and records.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, pre-law, public administration, or related field (required)
- Candidates without the degree may be considered with additional relevant work experience
Benefits
- Part-time position, maximum 19 hours per week

- Paid hourly; employees are paid by direct deposit only
