Responsibilities
- Review building permit plans and specifications for Fire Code compliance including fire lanes, hydrants, and fire protection systems.
- Interpret and apply relevant regulations, laws, and guidelines during plan reviews.
- Provide technical guidance on code requirements to contractors, architects, and the public.
- Collaborate with professionals to resolve discrepancies and recommend compliant solutions.
- Support Fire Inspectors with on-site inspections to verify compliance.
- Communicate required plan revisions and track application statuses in permitting systems.
Education
- Associate’s Degree or higher
- Certification or ability to obtain certificate in relevant fire protection code examination
