Responsibilities
- Supervise staff including assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring training and compliance with policies.
- Coordinate the annual Single Audit of federal and state grants and support external auditors.
- Produce the City’s Single Audit Report following federal regulations and Texas Grant Management Standards.
- Analyze and compile responses to external auditors’ findings and ensure follow-up on implementation.
- Establish, document, and improve policies and procedures for grant management and year-end close.
- Perform technical data analysis and financial review to explain significant account variances.
- Review and approve daily transactions, reconciliations, year-end adjustments, and accruals by Grant Accountants.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university
