Responsibilities
- Review construction plans for new neighborhoods, commercial developments, and industrial projects related to water and wastewater
- Manage complex water and sewer projects from early design through final construction and closeout
- Ensure compliance with TCEQ design standards and applicable regulations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering technicians and staff
- Coordinate with developers, consultants, Operations teams, and other city departments to resolve construction and design issues
- Oversee meetings, plats, zoning cases, site plans, and contract administration tasks
- Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and contract deliverables
Education
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited institution
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas (or obtain within six months if currently licensed in another state)
- Valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain one
