Compensation: $44.43 – $66.61/hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
Relocation Assistance: Available, case by case
Differentials & Premiums:
Evenings: +$1.50/hour
Nights: +$2.10/hour
Weekends: +$1.50/hour
On-Call Pay: $6.00/hour
Call-Back Pay: 2 hours at 1.5x base rate + 1 hour travel time
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Certified First Assist – CVOR to join a busy cardiovascular operating room team in Las Vegas, NV. This role involves advanced surgical assisting, vein harvesting, and specialized cardiovascular support for open-heart procedures. Key Responsibilities
Provide intraoperative support including exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions.
Assist with saphenous vein harvesting and cardiovascular surgical procedures.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with all surgical protocols.
Collaborate closely with surgeons and OR staff to deliver safe, effective patient care.
Participate in on-call rotation (1 weekday per week, 1 weekend per month).
Qualifications
Required:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
Surgical First Assistant certification from a nationally accredited agency.
High school diploma (minimum).
Current BLS certification.
Recent CVOR and vein harvesting experience.
Open-heart surgical experience.
Preferred:
Acute clinical care background.
Cardiothoracic surgery experience.
