- Ability to resolve complex technical issues under competing demands
- Experience supporting proposals and engaging with senior customers
- Eligibility for US security clearance / compliance with export regulations
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and subject matter expertise across spacecraft and space systems products
- Ensure technical integrity and rigor of designs through analysis, test planning, and investigations
- Lead and advise independent Non-Advocate Reviews and Engineering/Failure Review Boards
- Mentor and guide engineering teams and act as liaison with Components and Modules group
- Establish and drive engineering best practices, standards, processes, and tools across the portfolio
- Lead technical discussions with customers and suppliers to ensure mission success and manage expectations
- Support architecture trades balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Contribute technical content to proposals and business development activities
- Drive failure investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action definition
- Maintain awareness of industry engineering practices, standards, and emerging technologies
Education
- Bachelor of Engineering or related field (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering or related field (preferred)
