At StrongDM, as a Staff Accountant, you’ll do much more than journal entries. As part of a small, high-impact team, you’ll be central to our day-to-day operations; everything we buy, pay for, and collect runs through this role. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while helping the company scale. You’ll also gain exposure to critical processes across the business while working in a collaborative and supportive environment where we enjoy helping one another and having fun in our jobs.
Lead monthly close activities in NetSuite, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
Manage core accounts, including Cash, AR, fixed assets, prepaids, AP, accruals, deferred revenue, and revenue
Oversee customer contracts to ensure revenue recognition aligns with ASC 606
Process subscriptions, invoices, credits, and refunds in NetSuite; review customer usage reports for billing accuracy
Support collections, vendor bills, credit card transactions, and sales tax filings, while maintaining strong internal controls
Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
2–4+ years of accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or technology
Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with NetSuite, Ramp, Salesforce, Avalara preferred (moving to Campfire ERP in 2026)
Customer-service mindset with the ability to engage vendors and customers directly
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet critical deadlines with strong communication and collaboration skills
$95,000 – $120,000 base + equity salary packages, dependent on experience
