Responsibilities
As a key member of the team, you will execute a strategic vision for profitable expansion:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a regional business plan in collaboration with management, focusing on profitable growth.
Underwriting Authority: Implement profit strategies, ensure strict adherence to guidelines, and handle accurate booking, quoting, and binder preparation for complex multiline accounts.
Market Presence: Cultivate strong partnerships with retail brokers and clients through proactive outreach and regular travel.
Team & Process: Mentor underwriting staff, contribute to departmental initiatives, and complete performance reporting (audits, forecasts).
Qualifications
We are seeking a results-oriented professional with a passion for the construction sector:
Proven expertise in underwriting construction accounts with established broker/agent relationships.
2–3 years of experience in multiline primary casualty and/or construction underwriting.
Solid understanding of core insurance principles, including WC, GL, and AL.
Strong marketing, communication, and business writing skills.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Self-motivated and disciplined with a collaborative approach.
