The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated, early-career marketer to own the launch of Stealth Startup CA as we emerge from stealth. This person will be the first marketing hire and, over time, will own all aspects of marketing for the company.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the voice, narrative, and market presence of a category-defining defense technology company from day one. You will work directly with the co-founders, have significant autonomy, and operate with executive-level visibility and impact.

What You’ll Do

Stealth Exit & Brand Launch

  • Own and execute our company’s launch out of stealth

  • Define and articulate our brand narrative, messaging, and positioning

  • Develop launch materials including website content, thought leadership, announcements, and sales enablement assets

Media & External Communications

  • Build and manage relationships with relevant media outlets, journalists, and industry publications

  • Pitch stories, secure coverage, and help shape our company’s external narrative
    Support press releases, announcements, and ongoing media engagement

Content & Communications

  • Create high-quality written content (blogs, whitepapers, website copy, executive messaging, social, decks)

  • Translate complex technical and compliance concepts into clear, compelling narratives
    Support executive communications and external-facing content

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute an early-stage marketing strategy aligned with company goals

  • Build foundational marketing processes, systems, and metrics
    Partner closely with founders, sales, and product to support growth

Long-Term Ownership

  • Grow into full ownership of all marketing functions over time

  • Help define future hires, agencies, or contractors as the company scales

Other Duties

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Who You Are

Experience

  • Less than 2-5 years of marketing experience

  • Startup experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with or exposure to the Department of Defense / national security / government ecosystem is a strong plus

Skills

  • Strong content creation skills (written and verbal)

  • Strategic thinker who can also execute quickly

  • Excellent executive-level written and verbal communication

  • Comfortable working directly with founders and senior stakeholders

  • High attention to detail with the ability to move fast
