The Project Manager - Strategic Initiatives is responsible for managing the planning and execution of projects and assists the Facilities Services Project Management Office in maintaining standards, ensuring project alignment with division objectives and supporting project teams in tracking and monitoring progress. This role ensures the completion of projects within budget, on schedule, and meets all program objectives and appropriate government regulations. The Project Manager acts as a liaison between the client/users and all other project participants including consultants, contractors, vendors, and outside jurisdictional agencies.

* As guided by policies, resources, and business objectives, manages, plans, and executes assigned projects. Leads project team, adapting project plans and priorities to meet short-term service, business and/or operational objective ensuring the completion of projects within budget, on schedule, and meeting all program objectives.
* Develops and presents business cases to obtain project sponsorship, budget and resource allocation. Defines project scope, delegates tasks, develops project plans, manages contractors/vendors, and coordinates communications, as needed.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of project management methodologies, templates, and processes. Implement such project management tools and facilitating strategic project management.
* Recommends operating policies and procedures, guidelines, and standards for teams. Documents and manages current state, future state and gap analysis for process improvement and workflows.
* Manage the overall PMO project coordination tracker; track project progress, identify potential issues, support project managers in implementing corrective actions and ensure projects are executed according to established methodologies and standards.
* Ensures projects are progressing at appropriate timelines. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet project goals and deliverables.
* Identifies and resolves technical, operational, and organizational issues, considering multiple sources of information to identify the best course of action for the project team. Manages communications on a regular and timely basis, ensuring that all project participants are informed of project status, problems, and required actions.
* Maintain project data for the PMO, support the PMO governance meetings in tracking outputs, resource allocation, approvals and decisions, prepare reports and presentations for various audiences.
* Interprets organization-wide policies to provide process guidance and advice to project team. May act as a department representative on committees and professional organizations.
* Supports the efficient allocation and utilization of resources across projects.
* In collaboration with applicable stakeholders, develops and implements training and support to project team on project management methodologies and tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
* Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

* Ability to budget, make financial projections and write reports.
Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $53.98 to $71.57
