Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Enterprise Architect to lead our healthcare technology transformation journey. This strategic role requires a visionary technologist who can navigate the complexities of legacy healthcare systems while driving innovation through cloud enablement, AI adoption, and intelligent automation. You will be instrumental in modernizing our technology landscape, eliminating technical debt, and establishing sustainable data governance practices in an environment historically challenged by data sprawl and absent retention policies.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Aligns business and technology strategies, in order to better achieve the objectives and strategic goals of the business. Sets the technology direction and the strategies for assigned area within the organization and/or an assigned technology disciplines. Serves as a strategic partner for business stakeholders at the senior leadership levels.
  • Researches, analyzes, designs, propose, and deliver solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
  • Leads enterprise architecture framework development, and interface across several business areas (Division), serving as a visionary to pro-actively contribute in the ideation of future projects. Builds consensus and conceptualize solutions; sells the execution of solutions.
  • Supports, communicates, and takes personal ownership for strategy and success criteria. Actively assesses perspective from all levels and peers, and challenge the status quo to ensure a successful execution. Effectively manages changing priorities and ambiguity. Maintains direction and focus through pro-active planning and organized approaches.
  • Drives business excellence by establishing partnerships. Demonstrates dedication to exceeding expectations and requirements for internal customers and vendors. Leverage customer/consumer insight. Engages and mobilizes human resources, by establishing a clear direction and setting stretch objectives. Creates collaborative relationships/teamwork, including with vendors. Attracts, coaches, and develops others.
  • Provides design leadership, guidance, and assistance in applying architecture within the organization.
  • Partners with assigned area within the organization to understand business strategy and to develop IT capabilities roadmaps for assigned technology disciplines
  • Collaborates with peer architects, the director, IT leaders, and business stakeholders in the creation and maintenance of an IT capability roadmap to achieve current and future business objectives.
  • Leads and guides the development of various elements of the architecture. Solicits input from IT and the business as a part of architecture development. Informs and guides IT and the business with reference to the organization’s architecture.
  • Works closely with peer architects and other IT and non-IT staff, to ensure that strategies fit within the Enterprise Architecture strategy. Provides leadership and/or representation in various technical standards groups, such as the Centers of Excellence. Disseminates knowledge of design principles and implementation techniques within the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or related field

EXPERIENCE

  • Seven years of experience in enterprise architecture,
  • Five years in healthcare provider organizations preferred (hospital systems, health networks, or large medical groups)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • TOGAF, Zachman, or similar enterprise architecture framework certification
  • Cloud architecture certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect)
  • Healthcare IT certifications (CAHIMS, CPHIMS, or CHCIO)
  • Experience with healthcare data platforms, clinical data warehouses, and population health analytics
  • Knowledge of value-based care models and how technology enables quality metrics and reporting
     

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
