Skills
- Strong Kotlin expertise and experience shipping Android apps
- Deep familiarity with Android components and architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
- Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Kotlin Flow for async data handling
- Dependency injection with Dagger 2
- Experience with Jetpack Navigation, Room, Custom Views (Canvas & Paint) and Android Animations
- Background services and music/player service knowledge
- Unit and integration testing experience (JUnit)
- Product design intuition, user empathy, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own design, implementation, and delivery of major Android features end-to-end
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to shape feature direction and UX
- Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features and production stability
- Review pull requests, mentor teammates, and support engineering best practices
- Respond to critical incidents and triage unexpected production issues
- Provide nightly builds and support QA and release processes
- Contribute to architecture decisions, tests, and codebase improvements
Education
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (mobile preferred)
- Proven experience building or contributing to at least one Android app
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
