Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop automated equipment balancing specifications, cost, layout, process needs, and lead-times
- Design industrial electrical control panels compliant with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A and produce electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics
- Architect, write, document, and debug organized PLC code for manufacturing applications
- Develop and integrate robot systems to automate manufacturing of vehicle sub-components
- Implement ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA-compliant safety systems for robots, gantries, conveyors and other equipment
- Design clear HMI screens that support troubleshooting and operator workflows
- Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, and pneumatic/fluid plumbing during assembly and installation
- Select and size electrical and electromechanical components (servo motors, controllers, etc.)
- Deploy and commission automated processes and equipment into production
- Maintain project schedules and budgets to ensure on-time delivery
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline (preferred)
