- Mechanical and manufacturing engineering fundamentals

- Project coordination and schedule management
- Comfort working on production floor in strenuous/variable environments
Responsibilities
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and processes for thermal hardware builds (bonding, welding, part movement, structural integration)
- Translate designs into manufacturable procedures and manage transition from development to production
- Create and maintain CAD models, prints, and build schedules for flight and tooling components
- Coordinate and execute development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems and tooling
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, perform risk assessments, and interface with quality to resolve discrepancies
- Act as on-site engineering contact supporting technicians, welders, and vendors during builds
- Participate in design reviews and advise suppliers on manufacturability and technical requirements
- Source and retain vendors; provide technical guidance to external suppliers
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering (required)
- Master's degree in related field (preferred)
