Skills
- PLC programming and structured control code development
- HMI and SCADA development and operator interface design
- Industrial electrical panel design and field wiring
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA79, and UL508A
- Process simulation and robotic cell simulation tools
- Experience with fieldbus, serial, and Ethernet communications
- Experience building and commissioning electromechanical systems
Responsibilities
- Design and lay out industrial electrical control panels compliant with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A
- Create electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics and select electromechanical components
- Architect, write, and debug maintainable PLC code for manufacturing applications
- Develop HMI/SCADA screens that balance simplicity and troubleshooting detail
- Simulate automated processes (e.g., ABB RobotStudio, KUKA Sim, Siemens Process Simulate)
- Manage cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic and fluid plumbing, and commissioning
- Deploy automated equipment into production and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Travel to other locations and work extended hours or weekends as needed
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
