Responsibilities
- Develop sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet purchasing targets including cost savings and payment terms
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to optimize product and service value
- Perform advanced quantitative analysis and business process modeling to improve costs
- Conduct market research, benchmarking, and supplier performance measurement
- Author and manage contracts in collaboration with legal ensuring supplier compliance
- Lead negotiations to maximize value and minimize risk
- Establish and manage preferred supplier programs, monitoring KPIs
- Handle tactical purchasing tasks such as placing orders and resolving invoice issues
- Drive initiatives to reduce transaction volumes for assigned categories
Education
- Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
