Skills
- Professional development experience in C or C++
- Experience with embedded systems and low-level firmware
- Strong knowledge of Linux internals and user-space development/debugging
- Experience designing fault-tolerant, distributed, or real-time systems
- Test design skills spanning unit tests to integrated HIL testing
- Debugging, performance optimization, and performance testing experience
- Familiarity with computer architecture, networking, physics, math, and electronics
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable autonomous flight and ground software and associated test suites
- Design software for vehicles flying in space and supporting ground systems
- Build prototypes and analyze system metrics to validate designs and constraints
- Own full software lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, release, and flight operations
- Design and implement fault-tolerant, distributed, and real-time software systems
- Create cross-context tests from unit tests to hardware-in-the-loop regression tests
- Debug and optimize performance across software and system levels
- Provide technical leadership and drive continuous improvement
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline
- OR 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree
