Skills
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production/manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with SQL for querying MRP/ERP data
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, VBA/macros) and familiarity with Smartsheet/Power BI/Confluence/JIRA
- Capacity planning, rate-based scheduling and constraint management
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional negotiation
- Continuous improvement and problem-solving using lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen concepts
- Ability to work shifts, extended hours, and perform light physical tasks on the production floor
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain rate-based schedules for assigned work center covering 6+ missions and track build constraints
- Identify part shortages via MRP/ERP and SQL queries and drive actions to pull needed hardware into production
- Create scenario plans to allocate new vs. refurbished hardware based on manifest, customer needs, and quality
- Set, track, and execute daily/weekly goals accounting for personnel and equipment constraints to meet rate targets
- Coordinate scheduling and prioritization for shared resources and negotiate priorities with peer departments
- Build and maintain supplier/internal communication channels for accurate hardware needs and completion dates
- Perform capacity analysis, identify schedule risks, lead mitigation initiatives and root-cause problem solving
- Design and implement scheduling automation and continuous improvement to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
- Acceptable alternative: 3+ years of professional experience in manufacturing scheduling, planning or operations
