Operations Engineer (Production)
Skills
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, or Python/R for dynamic system analysis or modeling
- Strong knowledge of statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and data visualization
- Experience with CAD software, Power BI, and discrete event modeling tools
- Familiarity with inventory, production, and capacity planning including MRP/ERP systems
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and related principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress environments
Responsibilities
- Develop analytical tools to guide production, supply chain, and operations decisions regarding delivery, capacity, and costs
- Lead development and management of production strategies to mitigate risks and seize opportunities for quality, output, safety, and cost improvements
- Create process flow models to analyze system behavior and synchronize outputs with company operations
- Identify root causes of operational challenges and implement effective solutions
- Track key performance measures and optimize production to meet demand
- Drive system and process improvements within and between production elements
- Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, operations, and accounting teams to align efforts
- Document best practices and manage organizational knowledge and lessons learned
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
