- Willingness to work extended hours and travel up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize plastic injection molding processes through parameter tuning, DOE, and trials to establish robust production.
- Implement plug-and-play processes capable of high-volume throughput (1M+ units/year).
- Design and optimize physical production layout and material flow from receiving through final assembly.
- Manage production tooling strategy, inventory, training, and configuration updates.
- Drive DFT and DFM practices with design and test engineering teams.
- Identify automation opportunities, define requirements, evaluate ROI, and lead implementation with internal teams or vendors.
- Lead safety improvement projects and ensure compliance with manufacturing safety standards.
- Provide technical support for production issues that cannot be resolved on the line.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering (preferred)
