- Mechanical, fluid, and electro-mechanical systems familiarity
- Data analysis with Microsoft SQL and PowerBI
- Robotic weld systems experience (Kuka, ABB, Fanuc) preferred
- Electrical schematic CAD (EPlan preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy a reliability SCADA system for Starship manufacturing
- Integrate equipment into IoT for real-time monitoring, automated ticketing, and analytics
- Implement predictive and condition-based monitoring triggers to prevent failures
- Lead investigations and design improvements for electrical and automation systems
- Oversee electrical control panel layout and compliance to NFPA79, NEC, UL508A
- Develop equipment improvement and maintenance plans to maximize availability
- Conduct RCA and FMECA to drive engineering solutions for repeat or high-consequence failures
- Ensure clear HMI design for troubleshooting and operator feedback
- Partner with tooling, automation, and production teams to prioritize maintainability
- Establish and monitor maintenance and reliability KPIs (OEE, MTBF, MTTR)
- Provide strategic technical guidance and support 24/7 on-call for critical events
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required
- Advanced technical training or certifications in reliability, controls, or electrical design preferred
