Responsibilities
- Design and develop guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems for Starship
- Perform multi-disciplinary vehicle systems investigations and define systems architecture
- Implement software and algorithms to enable mission-specific capabilities and high-performance launch operations
- Develop and maintain 6-DOF dynamics simulation models for GNC analysis and validation
- Analyze trajectories, performance dispersions, and flight stability
- Conduct post-flight data review and correlate results with analyses to improve predictions
- Support launch and mission operations for vehicles under development
- Test GNC software using hardware-in-the-loop setups, Monte Carlo analysis, and unit testing
Education
- Bachelor's degree in physics, aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline (required)
- Master's or PhD in physics or engineering (preferred)
