Skills
- Multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge and experience in test, automation, dynamic positioning, or integration engineering.
- Experience with control and monitoring of complex automated systems and risk assessment.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of Falcon 9 landing and recovery operations controlling recovery vessels, flight proven boosters, and launch countdown automation.
- Coordinate and troubleshoot offshore operations remotely with engineering teams and technicians.
- Set up and operate drone ship systems to facilitate booster landings and crew transfers.
- Complete post-landing safing, fluid system processing, and monitor Falcon 9 first stage.
- Develop automation for drone ships and Falcon 9 rocket to enhance recovery operations.
- Identify and propose upgrades to recovery hardware, software, and procedures.
- Collaborate with Guidance Navigation & Control, Avionics, and Stage engineers to ensure proper configuration.
- Contribute to system and procedural development of autonomous vessels and maritime operations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
- Advanced degree in engineering preferred.
