- 1+ years professional data/software engineering experience (internship experience applicable)
- Development experience in an object-oriented language (Python, C, C++)
- Experience with ETL design and implementation for structured and semi-structured data
- Experience building predictive models and ML pipelines (clustering, prediction, anomaly detection)
- Familiarity with networking principles and OSI model
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain mission-critical analytics infrastructure, tools, and custom software to assess growth areas for Starlink
- Lead technical investigations into chronic network-level issues and large-scale incidents
- Automate aggregation of metrics and detection of widespread application and network issues
- Collaborate with engineering stakeholders across operations, software, subsystems, and external partners
- Apply data analytics, statistical models, and ML techniques to data produced by space vehicles
- Design and build ground-based systems to ingest, transform, and store streaming and batch data
- Fuse multiple data sources to generate actionable information and dashboards
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or related STEM discipline
- Relevant internships or coursework in data engineering, analytics, or software development
