Skills
- Civil engineering design and analysis for grading, drainage, and stormwater management
- Utility layout and underground utility design (water, sanitary, storm)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D for grading, surfaces, earthwork volumes, and plan/profile creation
- Familiarity with hydrologic/hydraulic tools (StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WaterCAD, PCSWMM)
- Construction management experience: site inspections, QC, contractor coordination
- Knowledge of permitting processes and environmental/regulatory agency requirements
- Strong technical communication, drawing review, and coordination skills
- Ability to work in field conditions and perform moderate physical tasks
Responsibilities
- Develop and issue civil drawings, design documentation, and technical reports for industrial/manufacturing land development projects
- Perform calculations for grading, drainage, stormwater control, water quality, and domestic water distribution
- Coordinate and prepare documentation required for local, state, and federal land development and utility permits
- Manage civil aspects of construction in the field, including quality control, conflict resolution, and multi-discipline contractor coordination
- Work with contractors, fabricators, owners, and internal stakeholders to define project requirements, schedules, and cost estimates
- Review and resolve design and construction conflicts in real time; approve shop and fabrication drawings as needed
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline (required)
- EIT certification or PE license (preferred)
