Android System Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in C, C++, Java, and Kotlin
- Deep knowledge of Android architecture, system services, and HALs
- Applied cryptography and Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs)
- Experience integrating secure hardware and vendor SDKs
- Experience with automated testing and Android virtual devices (e.g., Cuttlefish)
- Experience leading cross-functional development and integration
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cryptographic solutions tailored for Android smartphones.
- Develop the Android UI layer for transaction authorization and signing on Solana.
- Create APIs for interaction with blockchain software wallets and signing services.
- Build and maintain system services responsible for transaction validation, key setup, and key management.
- Collaborate with partners to implement and maintain Trusted App/TEE components for secure key generation and signing.
- Oversee partner deliverables and coordinate cross-functional hardware/software integration.
- Integrate system components with the broader Solana Mobile Android application ecosystem.
- Design and build Android UI components, system services, and compliance test suites.
- Create and maintain automated test harnesses using Android Cuttlefish or similar virtual devices.
- Own end-to-end Android system software activities: design, implementation, testing, and integration.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
