This leadership role on the Simon Media & Experiences team will lead our efforts to build and monetize the Simon data business. Through integration of our existing media businesses, this candidate will create an omnichannel, go-to market strategy and solutions for clients and partners. This person will also be a key leader in the development of Simon’s new ‘Retail Media Network’ strategy utilizing Simon’s first party data. This will include market positioning, working with new vendor partners, developing the sales pitch, prospecting with new clients, and closing new business.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Retail Media Network
Develop strategies to market Simon assets (media, sponsorship, and activations) outside of traditional OOH media buying agencies
Network to the major agency holding companies and clients direct to establish relationship and create buying opportunities
Create compelling client solutions to advertising objectives, articulate the benefits of Simon Malls, and close large single or multi property advertising, sponsorship, or promotional programs on a regular basis.
Target, pitch, and develop relationship with target companies within key categories such as auto, health care, entertainment, travel, education, etc.
Achieve or exceed personal sales goals.
Execute leases and collect client receivables.
Communicate as needed with local property, corporate and regional leadership teams to ensure quality of execution of all programs.
Digital Media
Develop and lead sales strategy for email advertising products.
Identify new revenue opportunities and partnerships to expand digital offerings.
Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling email campaigns that align with advertiser goals.
Programmatic
Develop a comprehensive programmatic sales strategy aligned with company goals.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across DSPs, SSPs, and agency holding companies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 10 years’ experience selling advertising (preferably OOH), sponsorships, promotions, or marketing services
Extensive direct personal contacts with key advertising decision makers
Extremely self-motivated, energetic, creative, independent person who can handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Adept at prospecting new business and able to effectively communicate the value proposition of Simon Malls as an advertising solution
Experience in the shopping mall and retail industry a plus
Excellent selling, negotiating, proposal writing and presentation skills including fluency in multi-media presentation development
Overnight travel is required
