What started as a grassroots tool for student expression has scaled into the global leader in PreK–5 learning experiences.

Our journey has been one of continuous evolution—shaped by innovation, educator feedback, and bold bets. Since our investment from Providence Equity Partners in 2021, we’ve transitioned from a founder-led, product-first company to a mature, growth-oriented organization with an experienced leadership team and a clear multi-pronged strategy for expansion.

We’re now entering a critical next chapter—one that calls for a marketing leader who can tell our story at scale, deepen our brand’s global resonance, and drive demand across enterprise, international, and consumer segments.

2015–2019 | Organic Product-Led Growth

  • Seesaw scaled from $0–$10M ARR through a grassroots, teacher-driven motion.
  • Introduced student-driven digital portfolios, multimodal creative tools, and early AI features like in-app translation—earning deep loyalty among educators and families.
  • Built a brand synonymous with joy, simplicity, and student voice.

2020–2021 | Pandemic-Driven Acceleration

  • Seesaw grew 5x in a single quarter to ~$50M ARR, scaling product and infrastructure to support a global shift to remote learning.
  • Rapid feature expansion included assignments, two-way messaging, and content libraries.
  • Providence Equity Partners invests in Seesaw, seeing long-term potential in our platform and user base.

2022–2023 | Building a Scalable Business

  • Hired an experienced executive team, including CEO Matt Given (25+ years scaling PE-backed edtech companies).
  • Defined Seesaw’s enterprise product vision and introduced instructional solutions like curriculum libraries and present-to-class tools.
  • Released our first generative AI feature, Question Assistant, positioning Seesaw as an early mover in AI for elementary education.

2024 | Enterprise Motion & Monetization

  • Launched Seesaw Instruction & Insights, expanding beyond the classroom to support schools and districts with insights, assessments, and tiered pricing. Launched two curriculum products, as a move into the curriculum buyer market. 
  • Implemented successful enterprise GTM strategy for domestic and international markets.
  • Strengthened monetization engine while deepening value to school customers.

2025 | Global Expansion, Consumer Entry & AI V2

  • 35%+ of ARR now comes from international markets.
  • Acquired Little Thinking Minds (Amman, Jordan) to expand into Arabic literacy and unlock multilingual markets.
  • Established 12+ international reseller partnerships.
  • Launched a bold V2 AI Strategy with deeper investment in proprietary AI features, built for the developmental needs of young learners.
  • Kicked off our third growth pillar: entry into the consumer market to complement our institutional footprint.

The Opportunity: EVP of Marketing

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Vice President (EVP) of Marketing to drive our next phase of growth and innovation. This senior leader will set and execute a forward-thinking marketing vision, strengthen our brand, and build a high-performing, data-driven marketing organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical marketing expertise, a proven track record of scaling demand generation, and the ability to inspire and develop a world-class team.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the EVP of Marketing will partner cross-functionally to accelerate our market presence, customer engagement, and revenue growth while aligning with our mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives and measurable outcomes
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and results
  • Own and execute a high-impact international digital marketing strategy, driving growth and brand visibility in key global markets
  • Drive demand generation and growth marketing efforts with a strong focus on data, measurement, and ROI
  • Oversee brand strategy and messaging to ensure consistency and differentiation in the market
  • Manage and optimize the marketing technology stack, including Salesforce, Marketing Cloud (Pardot), WordPress, and other relevant tools
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver cohesive go-to-market strategies
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive positioning to inform strategy
  • Lead change management efforts within the marketing organization to support evolving company goals
  • Serve as a visible, collaborative, and strategic member of the senior leadership team


Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for EVP of Marketing is a dynamic, hands-on leader who blends strategic vision with technical marketing expertise. They have a proven ability to scale marketing functions in growth-oriented organizations and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. Experience in the education technology sector is highly desirable.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing leadership experience, including executive-level roles
  • Expertise in demand generation, digital marketing, brand management, and marketing operations
  • Deep understanding of marketing technology platforms (Salesforce, Pardot, WordPress, etc.) with an understanding of how to leverage AI tools
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable growth and ROI
  • Experience managing and scaling high-performing marketing teams
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive peers and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
  • Background in supporting B2B and B2C customer segments

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience in EdTech or SaaS industries
  • Global marketing experience
  • Track record of leading marketing transformation or change management initiatives

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $210,000 – $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Annual performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Equity grant to share in the long-term success of the company
