Software Engineer, Backend

Sciforium is an AI infrastructure company that develops advanced AI models and operates a proprietary serving platform. Following new multi-million dollar funding and direct sponsorship from AMD CEO Lisa Su, along with dedicated support from AMD engineers, the team is now entering full operational mode with ambitious growth plans. The company is focused on expanding its engineering team with multiple ML engineers who will develop GPU-level kernels and contribute to the core technology stack. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend systems and services for our AI models and serving platform.

• Optimize the performance of our proprietary AI infrastructure, with a special focus on developing GPU-level kernels using C++.

• Translate high-level architectural designs into high-performance, production-ready code.

• Work closely with machine learning and research teams to integrate models into the serving platform efficiently.

• Use Python to build and maintain the APIs and services that interact with our core C++ components.

• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security through robust testing and code reviews.

• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and monitoring.

• Troubleshoot complex issues related to performance, scalability, and system integration.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer or a related role.

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong experience with Python and C++, with a focus on developing GPU-level kernels.

• Experience in AI, ML, or at a Big Tech company is preferred.

• Expertise in designing and building scalable backend systems and APIs.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and high-performance computing.

• Experience with testing, debugging, and performance profiling.

• Strong communication skills and fluent English are required.

• Comfortable working in an office environment and contributing to a strong team culture.
