Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven VP of Engineering to lead and grow our software engineering organization. This role is a critical member of our leadership team, responsible for developing people, scaling engineering practices, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable product delivery. This position reports to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), aligning Engineering with key operational functions, including Technology, Legal, and People. This structure supports cross-functional collaboration, governance, and organizational effectiveness, critical as we scale a secure, enterprise-grade platform within a learning-driven culture.

Define and drive the long-term engineering vision and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
Act as a strategic partner to Product, Learning Solutions, and Sales to shape our platform and user experience.
Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels—managing up to senior leadership and guiding direct reports—with transparency, clarity, and influence.
People & Culture Development
Attract, mentor, and retain top engineering talent while fostering a strong, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

Implement and refine Agile and DevSecOps practices that drive efficient and reliable software delivery.
Establish metrics to measure engineering effectiveness and drive accountability across teams.

Guide architectural decisions to ensure scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies that support our growth and innovation.
What a successful candidate will have:
Proven experience leading engineering teams at scale (preferably in a SaaS, B2B, and B2C environment).
Strong background in modern software development practices, cloud infrastructure, Salesforce, and agile delivery.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
Deep belief in the power of learning organizations, with a track record of growing both people and process maturity.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical vision into business impact.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Experience
Experience with enterprise-scale agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe®) is a strong plus.
Familiarity with building platforms that support learning, certification, or content delivery.
Background in security, compliance, and enterprise software reliability is highly desirable.
