The Multimedia Designer is a hands-on, detail-oriented role responsible for monitoring concurrent small and large-scale media production efforts. This may include, but is not limited to, animation, illustration, ideation, video editing, game design, and motion graphics creation. The designer's focus is on the rapid and skillful execution of high-quality media, always seeking to innovate with new tools and technologies to maintain a forward-thinking approach.
The Multimedia Designer works closely with producers, designers, UX, editorial, technology, and program management teams to maintain the customer experience of every K-12 program. This role requires a strong sense of craftsmanship and an ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. The Multimedia Designer receives little instruction on routine work and general instruction on new assignments.
The Multimedia Designer may occasionally be assigned to lead a program review and/or meet with editorial and technology in place of the Supervising Producer or Sr Multimedia Designer on certain projects. The Multimedia Designer may also be consulted on new program budget estimates.
