Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Logistics & Trade Supervisor to lead and enhance our global logistics operations while ensuring adherence to international trade compliance requirements. This role, based at HQ, will oversee end-to-end logistics and transportation management and import/export regulatory compliance across North America, EMEA, APAC, and India. The ideal candidate will bring 8–10 years of experience in logistics operations combined with strong knowledge of trade compliance practices, enabling them to drive operational efficiency, ensure audit readiness, and minimize supply chain risks and delays.

This position emphasizes a dual focus:

  • Transportation and logistics execution – ensuring cost-effective, on-time delivery and optimal network performance.
  • Import/export trade management – maintaining regulatory adherence, managing customs documentation, and supporting governance initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Transportation & Logistics Operations

  • Lead daily operations for global shipments, including cargo coordination and on-time delivery across multiple modes (express carrier, air, ocean, ground).
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL partners, monitoring service levels and negotiating on-time performance improvements.
  • Oversee shipment tracking and exception management to ensure visibility and control of logistics flows for U.S.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and regional teams to resolve transit disruptions, optimize routes, and improve logistics KPIs.

2. Import/Export Trade Management

  • Interpret and apply U.S. and international trade regulations (CBP, BIS/EAR, OFAC, regional customs authorities) to ensure full compliance across global operations.
  • Supervise import entry reviews, including HTS/ECCN classification, valuation, and entry type determinations, minimizing delays and penalties.
  • Oversee US export control processes, including AES/ITN filing, export license requirements, deemed export reviews, and coordination with engineering/legal teams.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and support internal/external audits for trade-related activities.

3. Shipment Documentation & Regulatory Alignment

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all shipping and customs documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading).
  • Support governmental and regulatory requirements and coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant filings.
  • Validate Incoterms and country-of-origin data to align with both logistics and trade compliance standards.

4. Process Improvement & System Integration

  • Drive initiatives to improve logistics efficiency and compliance accuracy across SAP ERP and Oracle GTM platforms.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance shipment visibility, data integrity, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Contribute to global standardization of operational workflows and compliance procedures.

5. Governance, Training & Cross-Functional Support

  • Act as a key liaison between HQ, regional teams, and business units to align logistics and compliance strategies.
  • Provide guidance and training on logistics and trade best practices, compliance requirements, and internal policies.
  • Support KPI reporting, risk assessments, and governance initiatives led by US-HQ.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in global logistics operations combined with import/export trade compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. trade regulations (CBP, BIS/EAR, OFAC) and international customs practices.
  • Proven expertise in logistics management, freight optimization, and customs entry processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP for shipment execution and compliance documentation; familiarity with Oracle GTM is a plus.

SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with global stakeholders.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in high-tech, semiconductor, or manufacturing industries preferred.
