Senior AI/ML Software Engineer (Remote in Utah)
Skills
- 7+ years building and shipping ML code for launched products
- Hands-on experience deploying production LLMs and generative AI features
- Strong Python programming skills
- Experience creating datasets from proprietary/anonymized data and fine-tuning models
- Familiarity with RAG, LoRA, RLHF and modern generative AI approaches
- Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and SQL
- Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and production APIs
Responsibilities
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on new AI product features while producing clean, maintainable code
- Design, train, fine-tune, deploy and maintain ML models powering generative AI features
- Build and maintain backend API services to expose ML capabilities to product frontends
- Deliver generative AI capabilities to production with monitoring, testing, and reliability practices
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX, data engineers, and QA to integrate AI across products
- Mentor and guide junior AI developers and help set engineering best practices
- Monitor model performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement evaluation and improvement workflows
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant field preferred but not required
