- Proven sourcing and supplier negotiation experience
- MRP/ERP proficiency and experience maintaining purchase order data
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with machining supply chains and related processes
- Supplier performance management and RFQ execution
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers for machining processes (milling, turning, EDM, grinding, cutting, outside processing).
- Manage RFQ process to secure competitive bids and achieve best pricing.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Own supplier relationships and performance, including onboarding and capability assessments.
- Coordinate closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering to meet procurement needs and provide order status.
- Maintain purchase order and supplier data within the ERP/MRP system.
- Ensure on-time delivery of material and provide status updates to material planners.
- Ensure parts meet required quality and compliance standards and support inspections/testing as needed.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field
- Relevant technical or procurement certifications (preferred)
