Senior Construction Project Manager
Skills
- Minimum 10+ years industrial construction/project management experience, preferably with a developer
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for plan review and markups
- Advanced Excel skills for complex budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Experience with Yardi and Smartsheet or similar project/asset management tools
- Strong knowledge of permitting, means and methods, and construction delivery in Southern California
- Contract preparation and administration (MSAs, work orders)
- Ability to manage multiple projects (10–20 active portfolio) and prioritize workload
Responsibilities
- Lead construction projects from inception through closeout including entitlement (if applicable), design, permitting, and construction.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, change orders, and reporting for projects ranging from $500K to $30M+.
- Coordinate and manage architects, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and tenant contractors.
- Prepare and administer contracts, work orders, and MSAs for design and construction vendors.
- Submit and track building permits and resolve permitting issues with authorities having jurisdiction.
- Collaborate with leasing, property management, acquisitions, asset management, estimating, design, and finance teams.
- Provide on-site oversight as required and ensure tenant moves and TI/CAPEX projects are completed without disruption.
- Supervise and mentor a direct report (Assistant Project Manager or Project Coordinator) and lead project teams.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (required)
- Relevant certifications or advanced training in construction/project management preferred
