Company Description:
Rewst is a tool designed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to streamline and automate their processes, saving valuable time and effort. Our platform helps MSPs achieve big automation wins, resulting in increased productivity and efficiency. We value the flexibility of remote work and enjoy opportunities to collaborate in person on occasion.
As an Engineering Manager at Rewst, you’ll lead a team of talented engineers responsible for building high-quality, scalable software that powers our automation platform. You’ll balance delivery execution, people leadership, and technical excellence — ensuring that engineering outcomes align with product goals and business strategy.
You’ll partner closely with Product Management, User Experience, and other technical leaders to plan, deliver, and continuously improve. At the same time, you’ll foster an environment where engineers thrive — driving growth, collaboration, and a culture of accountability and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of software engineers and technical leads to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable software that meets Rewst’s standards.
Partner with Product Management and Design to define and deliver on product roadmaps and iteration goals.
Establish and monitor key engineering metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, defect rates, MTTR) to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Distinguished Engineers and Architects to ensure technical decisions align with Rewst’s architecture and scalability goals.
Champion automation, observability, and DevSecOps best practices throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Operate with agile principles to maintain predictable delivery while managing team capacity and priorities.
Support incident response, postmortem analysis, and follow-through on corrective actions.
Coach and mentor engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and growth planning.
Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent while reinforcing Rewst’s culture and values.
Communicate transparently with cross-functional partners to maintain alignment and visibility.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2–4 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven success leading high-performing teams in SaaS or cloud-native environments.
Strong grounding in agile methodologies and modern CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-based architectures.
Technical depth to engage meaningfully in design, architecture, and code reviews.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
You’ll Excel In This Role If You:
Thrive on building cohesive, high-performing teams and helping people grow.
Balance empathy with accountability — driving results while supporting well-being.
Make decisions using data and long-term thinking, not just short-term tradeoffs.
Love collaborating across disciplines to turn great ideas into working products.
Are passionate about engineering excellence, automation, and continuous improvement.
Why Join Us:
Opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-growing startup environment
Collaborative and inclusive culture that values creativity, diversity, and innovation
Competitive compensation package, including equity options and benefits
Flexible work arrangements and a supportive work-life balance
