GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Assistant Controller is a key member of the finance team, responsible for assisting with the financial management of Rever Plastics Systems, LLC, with a focus on manufacturing analyses.
What You’ll Do:
· Maintaining standard cost files and analyze cost drivers.
· Track fixed assets and managing capital project spend.
· Monitor and analyze leases for compliance and reporting.
· Assist with month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
· Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as well as ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects.
· Participate in the annual budgeting process and strategic financial planning.
· Support interim and annual audits with accurate and timely documentation.
· Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.
· Assist with ad hoc projects to support leadership and drive performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
We are looking for someone with both technical expertise and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in, Business, Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years’ of progressive finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, ERP systems, and internal controls.
- Experience with IQMS and Planful/Host Analytics or similar applications is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, etc.) and solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- A passion for process improvement and attention to detail.
- A commitment to understanding the business operations and helping improve financial performance.
