Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Technical proficiency in accounting research and application of new standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Operational experience in managing accounting processes and teams.
- Proficiency with accounting software suites such as NetSuite, Zip, FloQast, Expensify, Workday.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including modeling and analysis.
- Ability to drive process improvements leveraging technology.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial closes and align accounting policies.
- Resolve complex foreign exchange accounting issues and manage multiple accounting standards adoption.
- Support external audits and technical accounting guidance implementation.
- Lead and develop a team of two accountants fostering professional growth.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational innovation within the accounting function.
- Assist with special projects, in-depth accounting research, and supplemental financial reporting.
- Manage lease accounting, stock-based compensation accounting, and cloud computing arrangement accounting.
- Implement and optimize accounting software tools to streamline processes and reduce manual work.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA certification is strongly preferred.
