- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or working toward CCC with supervised experience
- Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California (or eligibility)
- Experience with adult and/or pediatric dysphagia assessment and treatment
- Proficient clinical documentation and care-plan development
- Comfortable working autonomously in home settings
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy in patients' homes as prescribed by the attending physician
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans and goals
- Document clinical findings, progress notes, and insurance-required paperwork in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary home health team members and supervising clinicians
- Supervise and mentor CFY candidates and other support staff when applicable
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy strategies and home carryover
- Travel to patient homes within assigned territory and maintain reliable scheduling
Education
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology (required)
- ASHA CCC recommended or working toward with supervised clinical fellowship
- State licensure or eligibility to practice in California
