Responsibilities
- Implement PT treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and assistive-device instruction
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to support recovery and safety
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress to the supervising PT
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and visit documentation
- Travel to patients' homes and manage caseload independently
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Associate degree or equivalent training for PTA practice
- State licensure to practice as a PTA
