Responsibilities
- Implement OT treatment plans as directed by supervising OT
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, activities, and use of adaptive equipment
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety
- Monitor, document and report patient progress to the supervising OT
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and compliance documentation
Education
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- State licensure to practice as a COTA
