Skills
- Multiple ASNT Level 3 Certifications including volumetric and surface methods
- Extensive experience with phased array ultrasonic testing and advanced NDE techniques
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, ASME, AWS industry standards
- Ability to analyze inspection data against acceptance criteria
- Proficient in reading engineering work instructions and drawings
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage milestone-based NDT training and certification schemes across various methods including UT, PT, and ET
- Own personnel qualification and certification processes, maintain and approve NDT procedures ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards
- Assist in developing and verifying NDT work instructions and procedures aligned with industry standards and customer requirements
- Provide technical leadership for advanced ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections including phased array and conventional methods
- Develop and conduct internal audits and supplier assessments to ensure conformance with NDT specifications
- Act as primary NDT liaison for cross-functional teams, customers, and regulatory bodies
- Drive enhancements to NDT systems and inspection programs by proposing and implementing new technologies
- Maintain NAS-410 compliance and lead external audits related to NDE
Education
- Relevant certifications as ASNT Level 3
- Demonstrated expertise in aerospace or technical training environments
