Test Engineering Lead, Energy Storage
Skills
- Experience testing complex electromechanical products across mechanical, electrical, and software domains
- Comfort working with high-voltage systems (400–2000 VDC and 480 VAC)
- Hands-on expertise in at least one aspect of test engineering (fixtures, cabinets, or software)
- Experience designing test infrastructure for both validation and high-volume production
- Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional communication skills
- Familiarity with reliability testing and manufacturing test throughput considerations
- Ability to recruit and mentor engineers and scale team processes
Responsibilities
- Recruit, lead, and manage a high-caliber test engineering team
- Design, build, deploy, and support engineering validation, reliability, and manufacturing testers
- Define and own test procedures that balance coverage, speed, and tester cost
- Be a hands-on engineering manager contributing to technical design and implementation
- Establish tools, infrastructure, and processes for a growing test organization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Drive project planning, schedules, and deliverables for test development programs
- Present technical progress and risks to stakeholders and company leadership
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field required
- Master’s degree or relevant advanced degree preferred
