Construction Logistics & Material Specialist
Skills
- Intermediate knowledge of transportation and equipment loading/unloading logistics
- Intermediate knowledge of rigging best practices, pick points, and safety
- Familiarity with construction scheduling processes and production time management
- Ability to use logistics and procurement systems
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for all project materials and equipment to ensure timely availability for construction scopes
- Manage and schedule deliveries and transfers to project teams, campus storage, and offsite storage
- Evaluate daily schedules and projections to track project material and equipment needs
- Use Redwood’s logistics and procurement systems to manage inventory movement and documentation
- Coordinate and safely oversee rigging, crane lifts, truck loading/unloading, and forklift operations
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and participate in weekly safety meetings with field teams and leadership
- Assist estimating and design teams with schedule input and technical material handling guidance
- Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed
- Reconcile job close-out checklists with designers and subcontractors at project completion
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years construction engineering, scheduling, or design experience required
