- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including formulas and data analysis
- Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction and manufacturing projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to assess scope and material needs
- Perform quantity takeoffs and apply labor and material rates accurately
- Maintain and update a comprehensive cost database
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cost and design data
- Negotiate subcontractor change orders and resolve cost issues
- Research and evaluate new construction methods and materials
- Promote positive collaboration within project teams
Education
- Relevant education in construction management or related field preferred
