Skills
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, or Go for system and backend development.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Linux system administration and multi-core performance profiling.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, MQTT, CoAP) and IoT device integration.
- Experience with time-series databases (InfluxDB, Prometheus) and data visualization.
- Ability to develop SIL/HIL test frameworks and collaborate with firmware teams.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaborative communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, resilient architecture for the Site Controller using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Build a flexible control platform to coordinate hardware assets and integrate optimization algorithms for energy arbitrage and grid services.
- Develop networked device management services and site-level orchestration for distributed storage deployments.
- Implement time-series data management and real-time IoT data pipelines for monitoring and visualization.
- Create SIL and HIL test frameworks and collaborate on integration testing.
- Work with firmware, modeling, and systems engineers to integrate control algorithms and ensure smooth device interactions.
- Produce and maintain high-quality software documentation.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues; participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Education
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum ~2 years experience developing application software for hardware/embedded systems.
