Remote jobs saved me. Start building a resume with your leadership experience (only RN = gold)
Some people hate on insurance jobs but tbh it saved my mental health. I review inpatient stays now. Very checklist-based and predictable.
I’ve been working remotely in telephone triage and it’s surprisingly decent. Less stress and I get to use my critical thinking more than I expected.
been there. HR turned a blind eye when I was literally breaking down during shifts.
I’m in NY too! Just landed a remote case management job through a referral.
Psych NP in the works? You’ll have tons of options soon, especially in telehealth. I did some part-time telepsych through a platform called Iris and it helped bridge the gap.

Hey all,
I’m a registered nurse with 6 years of experience, BSN in hand, and currently in school for my psych NP. I’m at a point where I really need a change.
Right now I’m the only RN at my clinic and it’s just nonstop. Short-staffed, constantly getting dumped on, and the bullying? Yeah. HR doesn’t care. I’ve tried to stick it out but it’s just draining at this point.
I’d love to find a remote RN job and I’m open to 5 days a week or 4 10s. Something with a better work/life balance where I’m not constantly in survival mode. I’m licensed in NY if that matters.
If anyone has leads, works remotely as an RN, or has tips on where to look, please help me out 🙏. I’m beyond ready for a switch.
