In my opinion, the biggest thing is how you present yourself. Dress like you actually want the job during the interview. Be respectful, and don’t walk in acting like anyone owes you something. Once you’re hired, do the work even when you don’t feel like it. That kind of work ethic can help you move up quickly, and that progression looks great on a resume. Hiring managers notice when someone has a clear record of growth and advancement.
Use bullets like: “worked well in fast-paced environments,” “cleaned and stocked inventory,” “handled customer questions.” Even if it’s from volunteering or chores, it counts 💪
I used school projects and babysitting as experience. Just frame it like you were responsible and worked with people!
Literally just say punctual, good with people, can stay calm under pressure. They don’t expect a corporate resume.
when I applied to Starbucks, I put “customer service,” “cash handling,” and “multitasking” even though I had never worked before lol. still got the job!
Keep it simple! Things like “teamwork,” “reliable,” “fast learner,” and “can work weekends” go a long way for retail or fast food apps.
