Senior Software Engineer

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who is motivated to combine the art of software advancements with the art of system design to help harden and advance our QbDVision application.

What You’ll Own

• Collect feature requirements and break those down to Epics and Stories.
• Own feature development quality end-to-end and provide estimates of the effort.
• Play a team lead role, mentor new hires and help junior developers take their next steps.
• Debug complicated business-related bugs that may arise from our clients.
• Write integration, unit, and synthetic tests using Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Contribute to technical documentation/validation documents.

What You Need To Succeed

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on developing B2B applications.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and coding best practices.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ex. React.js and Node).
• Strong understanding of web markup languages, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
• Experience applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) best practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex systems and datasets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
