Teachable is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I (L4) in the Student Engagement pod to develop impactful features for student learning. This fully remote role focuses on building scalable products while collaborating with diverse teams in the U.S. and Brazil.
Responsibilities: You will write secure and efficient code, develop reusable components, improve existing codebases, and ensure high-quality through testing. You'll communicate updates clearly, adapt to challenges, and prioritize customer value in your work.
Skills: The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of web application development experience, proficiency in languages like Ruby, React, and Rails, and a collaborative mindset.
Qualifications: Experience in a startup environment, working with legacy systems and mentoring peers is preferred. Familiarity with microservice architecture is a plus.

Compensation: $117000 - $145000 / Annually

Our Student Engagement pod is responsible for creating deeper engagement between students and creators. In this role, you’ll be able to have a direct impact on the learning journey of our students by building products and features that foster a learning experience that keeps students connected and motivated.
In this position, you will work remotely with Teachable’s US-based and Brazil-based teams.
Our teams are made of several engineers, an Engineering Manager, Product Designer and Product Manager who work cross-functionally to deliver across user needs, business scope and the technical feasibility for today and tomorrow.
What is the role?
We are looking for a senior engineer with full stack experience, with backend expertise, who will join the Student Engagement pod and work on multiple projects, mainly focused on revamping core functionality and expanding and improving how our creator’s students learn and get the best outcomes on our platform.
You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle. In our team, everyone has the opportunity to share ideas, bring new solutions, and discuss them with other well-experienced engineers.
